            FAQ

  • Is the departure guaranteed, or could it be cancelled if there aren't enough guests?

  • It is very unlikely that there will be no other guests than you as our cabin charters sailing trips are usually full. However should this happen, do not worry, the departure is guaranteed.
  • Where do your sailing trips start?

  • All our sailing trips start in Paros, in the heart of the Cyclade island.
  • I understand that catamarans are usually faster than monohull boats but do not perform as well upwind. Does this affect the itineraries that each boat can make?

  • Monohulls in general present less windage and are more powerful under engine or sail when beating to windward, whereas multihulls are quite nimble on all other points of sailing. Trying to make the best of these characteristics, we have assigned different sets of itineraries (all customizable, evidently) to each boat. Of course, since we are not racing, what matters in performance is time spent at sea when the going is rough. When selecting an itinerary with our guests, we take into account their wishes, the weather and the course were the particular boat performs best in order to provide a pleasant experience. Practically, if the prevailing summer northerlies blow hard, the catamaran will be best at sailing an East –West course, whereas the monohull will be able to track North – South.
  • Does it feel crowded with 8 people on a Beneteau 50?
(the reason I am asking is because on most pictures of sailboats on the internet there is always 2 or 4 people on a boat, no matter what the size, so it's difficult to imagine 8 people plus the skipper in the cockpit).

  • It is true that the Pahi 53’ catamaran boasts 900ft2 of decks. But that really matters only when the weather is really calm or at anchor, when everyone’s either swimming or gone ashore. Our cabin charter sailing trips combine pleasant sailing in the morning (approx. 3 to 4 hours) with the afternoon visit of a different island (relaxing onboard, sightseeing, beach, exploring ruins, dinner ashore etc). In fact the “crowded” feeling on the Beneteau 50’ may only occur under way during short periods, if and when all the guests may want to sit in the cockpit, instead of lounging on deck, basking in the sun. Both boats offer a lot of privacy with their comfortable cabins and en suite bathrooms, with the Beneteau procuring down-below a somehow comfier saloon.
